About us:

Christina Potter graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia in 2000 and then went on to get her Masters in Physical Therapy from Florida International University in 2005. Christina has resided in Tampa and Jupiter Florida over the last few years.

Christina has worked at Tampa General Hospital Rehabilitation Center specializing in SCI, Stroke, Amputees and most other Neurologically diagnosed patient populations.  While at Tampa General Rehabilitation Center, Christina, assisted in implementing the outpatient wheelchair seating clinic and completed research involving pressure mapping and seating for various departments for the “zero tolerance” policy of hospital acquired pressure injuries.

Over the last 5 years, she has worked in skilled nursing facilities and as a contract home health physical therapist completing seating and mobility evaluations throughout the state of Florida. Christina has obtained her Assistive Technology Professional (ATP) and Seating and Mobility Specialist (SMS) certifications from the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA).

Christina created Seating Specialists LLC, to fill a need in the market for accessibility of the client to get adequate seating and mobility evaluations in their “real life” home environment to better capture the true needs of the client.  It is our duty as therapists to advocate for the best possible outcomes and to ensure our clients have a positive experience and get the appropriate seating and mobility devices. In addition, we will strive to assist in eliminating barriers in the home by recommending home modifications and other durable medical equipment (DME) to ease the burden of mobility.
